Frequently Asked Questions

  • How soon should I book my wedding cake?

6 months, even a year in advance is never too early!  Late spring to early fall is our busiest wedding season and we book up FAST. The earlier the better but usually once you have a secure day, date, and location that is when you should secure your cake date as well!
  • How do I secure my date?

A $100 non-refundable deposit is required to save your date. We only take a limited number of cakes each week to ensure each event and wedding gets the attention and detail it deserves.  Once the event details are finalized and agreed upon, 25 percent of the total event cost is due.  Late bookings and rush orders are sometimes available for an additional fee.
  • Where are you located?

Happy Tiers Bakery is located in the beautiful North Lake Tahoe town of Incline Village.  We work out of a commercial kitchen with no store front.  We are available by phone, email, and scheduled appointments/tastings.
  • Can I schedule a cake tasting?

Absolutely, and it is encouraged!  We have multiple tasting options to meet your busy schedules.  Tastings can be delivered for $50.  For a more intimate experience, an in person tasting appointment with Andrea may be arranged for $100.  If you choose to book your event by end of business on the same day as your in person tasting, a $100 credit will be applied to the cost of your event over $350.
  • Do you have any gluten free/dairy free/sugar free items?

Yes!  All items are prepared in the same locations, however, we do provide these items.
  • When is my final payment due?

Final payments are due no later than 30 days prior to events.
  • How do we pay for our order?

All forms of payment are accepted. Email invoices are payable same day and most common.
  • Why are your prices higher than the local grocery stores?

All of our items are custom order and made from scratch only with the highest quality ingredients!  Our prices reflect the time and attention to detail, fresh ingredients (local when avaiable), artistry, and passion that goes in every single cake.
  • Can we use fresh flowers on our cake?

Yes!  Ask your florist for cake flowers and we will go over placement.  I am a profectionest so I prefer to arrange the flowers on the cake myself!  Fresh flowers are not a food product and may contain pesticides, insects, dirt, or other contaminants.  We will wrap each flower stem with floral tape before inserting into the cake.
